About the Conference:

Across the UK, more than one million young people aged 16–24 are not in education, employment or training (NEET). Neurodivergent young people and those with additional needs can face even greater barriers to finding their next step.

The challenge is national, but action starts with all of us.

Hosted by Petty Pool, Where Possible Happens 2026 will bring together businesses, employers, educators, local authorities, policymakers and community partners to explore how we can create better pathways into education, training and employment for young people across our region.

This is a day about moving beyond the statistics. We’ll hear directly from young people, explore what can prevent them from becoming disconnected from education and employment, and share practical ways organisations can create meaningful opportunities.
