Our NEET Re-Engagement Programme provides a supportive, therapeutic pathway for young people with an EHCP, helping them build confidence and progress into learning, training, or employment.

Our Alternative Education Programmes are for young people who are:

  • Are presenting with persistent absence or emotionally based school avoidance
  • Struggle with the pace, size, or structure of mainstream classrooms
  • Display anxiety, dysregulation, or low resilience impacting learning
  • Are at risk of suspension, exclusion, or further disengagement
  • Require a more personalised, relationship-based SEND approach

The programme operates as a complementary provision, maintaining the student’s school placement while providing targeted intervention to stabilise attendance, rebuild engagement, and strengthen readiness to access mainstream learning.

Petty Pool offers schools:

  • A 42-acre therapeutic outdoor learning environment that reduces anxiety and supports regulation
  • Specialist SEND staff experienced in working with complex SEMH and EHCP needs
  • Small group delivery to enable personalised support and consistent adult relationships
  • Clear communication and progress reporting to support EHCP outcomes and annual reviews
  • Flexible models (e.g., part-time placements, transition packages, short-term stabilisation support)
  • Embedded Maths and English

Our approach focuses on rebuilding confidence, emotional regulation, independence, and motivation, enabling students to sustain engagement in their school setting and prepare for positive post-16 progression.
