A Safe Space to Express Feelings

At Petty Pool, Drawing and Talking Therapy provides a safe, gentle, and supportive way for learners to explore and understand their emotions.

We know that putting feelings into words can sometimes be difficult. This therapeutic approach allows learners to express themselves through drawing, helping them communicate thoughts and feelings in a way that feels comfortable and manageable.

Sessions are delivered by a trained practitioner in a calm and supportive environment where learners can feel listened to, respected, and understood.

There is no pressure to share more than they feel comfortable with. Learners remain in control of what they choose to express throughout the process.

Our Approach

Drawing and Talking Therapy uses creativity as a way to help learners explore emotions, experiences, and challenges in a safe and structured way.

Through regular sessions, learners are supported to:

  • Explore thoughts and feelings
  • Develop emotional awareness
  • Build confidence and self-esteem
  • Feel heard and understood
  • Develop positive coping strategies
  • Strengthen emotional resilience

The focus is always on creating a supportive environment where learners feel safe to express themselves at their own pace.

Supporting Emotional Growth

Drawing and Talking Therapy can help learners make sense of their experiences and develop skills that support their wellbeing both in college and beyond.

Through this support, learners may:

  • Improve emotional wellbeing
  • Build resilience and confidence
  • Develop self-awareness

Our aim is to help learners feel supported, empowered, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges while continuing to grow in confidence and independence.
