Helping You Understand Relationships, Safety and Wellbeing

At Petty Pool, our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) programme helps you develop the knowledge, confidence, and understanding needed to build safe, healthy, and respectful relationships.

We provide accessible and supportive sessions that help learners understand:

  • Their body and personal wellbeing
  • Public and private behaviours
  • Different types of relationships
  • Consent and personal boundaries
  • Online safety and digital communication
  • Healthy and unhealthy behaviours
  • Where and how to get help and support

Our aim is to help you feel safe, respected, informed, and confident in everyday life and relationships.

Building Skills for Adult Life

We understand that every learner is different, which is why our RSE programme is delivered in a supportive, inclusive, and personalised way.

Sessions are adapted to meet individual needs, communication styles, and levels of understanding, helping learners feel comfortable and supported while learning important life skills.

We create safe learning environments where learners are encouraged to:

  • Ask questions
  • Develop confidence and self-awareness
  • Understand personal safety and boundaries
  • Build positive relationships
  • Respect themselves and others

Our approach focuses on helping learners make informed and safe choices as they prepare for adulthood and greater independence.

Building Skills for Adult Life

RSE supports learners to develop important personal, social, and communication skills that can support them both in college and beyond.

Through the programme, learners can:

  • Build confidence in social situations
  • Develop communication and decision-making skills
  • Understand healthy relationships and consent
  • Learn how to stay safe online and in the community
  • Recognise when to seek help or support
  • Develop greater independence and self-confidence

We want every learner to feel empowered, informed, and supported as they navigate relationships, wellbeing, and adult life.
