Petty Pool Wins ‘Best Kept Station’ Three Years in a Row!!



For the third year running, Petty Pool College students have helped Delamere Station to win the coveted Best Kept Station of the Year Award!!




The MORE Maintenance students have carried out maintenance on the station; keeping it tidy, planting flowers, painting the fences, clearing leaves and making sure the station is kept looking at its best for the commuters!



All the students have done an amazing job, and we’re very proud to win this award for the third year in a row!



Liam Sumpter, Director of Arriva Rail North Limited, sent a congratulations letter, saying:



“In recognition of your group’s fantastic service to your local station, I wanted to congratulate you and Friends of Delamere Station on your recent Cheshire Best Kept Stations Award.



Winning the ‘Cheshire West and Chester’ award is a real testament to the time, work and effort that the group have committed to improving Delamere station over the past year.”



Andy Bell also sent his thanks for the project:



“I just wanted to say a big thank you for all your excellent work the team have done at Delamere Station, keep up the great work in making Delamere an amazing place.”



The team are currently working on a big transformation project at the station, designed by the students of Petty Pool Vocational College – Watch this space!
