JOB TITLE:         Housekeeper

LOCATION:         Petty Pool Vocational College, Pool Lane, Sandiway, Cheshire, CW8 2DR

REPORTS TO:     Estates & Facilities Manager

SALARY:              £4,330 per annum (£10.41 per hour)

HOURS:              8 hours per week PM shift – (Monday to Thursday)

Extra hours available to help cover busy period and holidays.

Petty Pool provides vocational education and training to students in Cheshire, as well as running an Outdoor Education Centre for the wider community.

Summary of duties and responsibilities

Housekeeping:
• Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly checks as required, completing all necessary records
• To clean all areas of the Centre to the high standard expected as directed by the Outdoor Centre Manager, this will include common areas, bedrooms, toilets, and showers etc
• To make up beds, prepare linen for laundry etc
• To clean specified areas of the site to agreed workplan
• To prepare chalets and lodge for overnight visitors
• To support catering staff in cleaning kitchen
• Washing of dishes, pots, and pans
• To help with the cleaning of kitchen and dining room

Equipment Support:
• Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly checks as required, completing all necessary records
• Any other duties as reasonably requested within this domain.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:
• Comply with and promote Petty Pool’s Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Operational Policies and Procedures
• To maintain a safe environment for students, staff and visitors ensuring that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and others.
• To clean, maintain and operate machinery in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the operations manuals with due regards to Health and Safety instructions and Risk Assessment.
• To ensure all tasks are carried out safely and effectively with due regard to Health and Safety

General:
• Promote effective working relationships within the team through good communication processes with all groups of staff across The Trust
• Ensure adherence to all centre Policies and Procedures
• To be familiar with relevant policies and procedures and to take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children and young people
• Undertake any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time by the wider management team.

 

NOTE: In accordance with the Petty Pool’s flexibility policy, the post holder will be required to undertake any other duties considered commensurate with this position, as directed by The Senior Management Team of Petty Pool, or as a mutually agreed developmental opportunity.
