In this course we do a lot of practical work outside caring for the environment around Petty Pool.

We do a lot of work growing and caring for plants as part of our studies. We have a large greenhouse to work in when it is too cold outside for the plants. In the summer we sell the bedding plants and herbs we have grown throughout the spring.

Each student has a plot of land outside where we choose what we want to grow. It is our responsibility to take care of this.

As well as growing plants we also look at how the local environment is used and how we can look after it.

Every summer we open to the public and sell the plants, hanging baskets and pots that we have grown and cared for during the year.
