Business, Administration and Retail

This course teaches us the various skills that could be used in the workplace, including office and retail skills.

During the course we learn about using the computer for different tasks. Petty Pool has a computer suite for all students to use, which runs on standard programmes. We also have an interactive whiteboard which we can use to practice all sorts of skills, such as filling in application forms.

We also learn about the skills we might need if we worked in an office, such as filing and meeting visitors.

We also study ‘Working as a Retail Assistant’ where we look at the different jobs people do in retail outlets. We practice our skills by running the student Tuck Shop in the afternoons.
