Animal Care

On this course we learn the skills we need if we want to work with animals in the future.

On our purpose built farm and in the Animal Care classroom, we have a range of domestic and farm animals that we are responsible for feeding, cleaning and caring for. We have Goats, Sheep, Chickens, Budgies, Rabbits, a Chinchilla and more!

We all help to muck out the animals during the week and learn how to feed them properly. We learn to work safely and as a team.
As part of the course we visit different organisations that also care for animals such as the RSPCA, Chester Zoo and Stockley Working Farm.
We also think about why people keep animals as pets and discuss different types of farming.
